About
Jessica Bromley Bartram is an illustrator, graphic designer, and ceramic artist who lives in Ottawa. With all of her creative pursuits, she’s interested in process, collaboration, and communication, and enjoys experimenting with different mediums throughout the creative process.
Her collection of illustrated short stories, Ghost Water Kiss, was published in 2019 by Popnoir Editions, and she has illustrated two picture books for Fitzhenry & Whiteside, Charles, published in 2018, Summer North Coming, published spring 2019, and written and illustrated one: Water Water.
Her work is included in 4PANEL 2, a comics anthology also published by Popnoir Editions, and she has published work in Room Magazine (issue 42.1), CAROUSEL (issue 39), The Globe and Mail.
She has a BA in English and History from the University of Guelph (2003-2007) and a second Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Ontario College of Art & Design (2010-2015), where she won the Graphic Design Medal for her final thesis project at the 2015 Graduate Exhibition.
